Sales of medicaments of other antibiotics packaged for retail sale in Serbia decreases in 2016
In comparison to the prior year antibiotic sales dropped by 6.84 percent, revised numbers from European Commission illustrate. Antibiotic sales diminished from 10 197.67 thousand Euros to 9 500.33 thousand Euros, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 14.7%. It's the lowest value on record since 2012. Serbia saw a decrease of 7.29% in antibiotic sales over the past 5 years. Besides, it has shown a decline at a 0.02% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a modest overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 10 676.94 thousand Euros from 2012 to 2016 and it attained its maximum of 11 955.68 thousand Euros in 2014.
