Export of fresh, preserved or cooked eggs from Sri Lanka climbs in 2017

In comparison with the prior year eggs export climbed greatly by 35.71 percent, according to numbers issued by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable grew strongly from 292 260 kilogram in 2016 to 396 632.81 kilogram previous year, versus the prior year when it declined by 37.55 percent. Sri Lanka saw a growth of 97.47% in eggs export during the last 27 years. Still it has had a decrease at a 0.1% compound annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a modest overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 298 038.88 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 965 279 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 136 879 kilogram in 2009.
