Gas and diesel import in Macedonia climbs in May 2018

Gas and diesel oil import grew by 5.66 percent in comparison to April, revised statistics from JODI Data highlight. Gas and diesel oil import went up from 392.2 thousand barrels to 414.4 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it increased by 6 percent. The prior year, this shift reached 9.26% and the gas and diesel oil import hit 436.6 thousand barrels in May of the year before. When examining the year-on-year situation, a -5.08% decrease can be diagnosed between May 2017 and the same month the year after. The overall changes for the previous 4 years attained a growth of 55.56%. Moreover, the gas and diesel oil import is now higher than its average which equals 392.48 thousand barrels with a sharp overall increase since the 2014. It reached its all-time high of 503.2 thousand barrels in July 2017 and record low of 259 thousand barrels in January 2015.
