Floor space of office buildings sold in China: Raise in 2017

Building starts increased by 17.26 percent in comparison to the prior year, revised numbers from China National Statistical Office indicate. It's new all-time maximum since 2000 as building starts went up by 660.48 ten thousand square meter, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 31.37 percent. China saw a raise of 926.75% in building starts during the last 18 years. Besides, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.09% during the last 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 1 781.04 ten thousand square meter from 2000 to 2017 and it attained its minimum of 436.98 ten thousand square meter in 2000.
