Iron ore production, iron content, in Indonesia: Diminution in 2014

U.S. Geological Survey published that iron ore production went down by 24.8% in comparison to the prior year. The indicator fell by 610 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 16.61%. The overall changes for the prior 17 years hit a rise of 496.77%. However, it has had a diminution at a 0.08 percent CAGR over the 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 857.02 thousand tonnes from 1998 to 2014 and it reached its all-time high of 2 950 thousand tonnes in 2012 and record low of 18.4 thousand tonnes in 2005.
