Buses and coaches production in Japan: Decline in 2017

Compared to the previous year bus production diminished slightly by 0.87%, according to adjusted numbers issued by OICA. The indicator hardly decreased by 107, contrarily to the prior year when it went up by 7.55%. Japan saw a drop of 18.3% in bus production over the past 21 years. Likewise, it has had a 0.05% average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a negligible overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 11 529.14 from 1997 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 25 174 in 1998 and record low of 7 820 in 1999.
