Import of live pure-bred breeding horses to Spain: Fall in 2017

According to updated data announced by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2017 the indicator sharply declined by 77.94 percent. Horses import strongly decreased from 661 927 kilogram in 2016 to 146 052.97 kilogram prior year, versus the previous year when it climbed by 2 284.21%. The overall changes for the prior 29 years attained a growth of 139.93%. Besides, it has attained a rise at a 0.76 percent compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a modest overall raise since the 1989. It averaged 128 842.17 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 323 444 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 3 565 kilogram in 1993.
