Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Japan: Decrease in 2017

Horses import went down by 11.24% in 2017, new figures from United Nations Statistical Office show. Horses import declined by 436, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 18.9 percent. The overall changes for the prior 30 years hit a growth of 178.56%. Though, it has had a decline at a 0.01 percent CAGR during the five years with a slight overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 3 864.57 from 1988 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 8 618 in 2000 and record low of 1 236 in 1988.
