Import of live pure-bred breeding horses to Peru declines in 2016

Horses import decreased by 10.65% in 2016, according to new numbers presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator went down by 40 555 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 21.16 percent. Peru saw a rise of 471.37% in horses import during the last 25 years. However, it has shown a drop at a 0.07 percent compound annual growth rate over the last five years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 240 487.52 US Dollar from 1992 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 868 889 US Dollar in 2008 and record low of 104 US Dollar in 2003.
